Position: Director (Admin)
The India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) is looking for a dynamic Director (Admin) to manage the day-to-day Administrative and Human Resources activities of ISM. The Director (Admin) will oversee administrative functions (like managing budgets, organizing events on the office calendar, and undertaking high-level correspondence on behalf of senior management), provide oversight and guidance for the development and monitoring of processes related to recruitment and retention, compliance, compensation, benefits, training and development.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring smooth functioning of all administrative functions for developing sustainable semiconductor & display manufacturing facilities and semiconductor design eco-system in the country.
- Administering the recruitment process; review job advertisements prior to posting, ensure appointment of proper candidates, ascertain that documentation is collected and recorded/filed; and manage the new hire orientation and exit process.
- Ensuring compliance & benefits and record keeping including – (i) annually review the Personnel Handbook recommending amendments needed due to changes in local conditions or labor laws; and (ii) manage timesheets for office, ensuring timely submission, approval, accuracy, and filing.
- Fostering employee relations towards smooth functioning of ISM including – (i) resolving employee relations issues pragmatically, and (ii) investigating employee relations issues and ensuring ensure that human resources related decisions are consistent and fair.
- Ensuring compliance to the provisions of the applicable laws and secretarial compliances, including regularly auditing procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Ability to oversee all administration and support functions of the mission like HR, Admin, Legal & IT, etc.
- 10+ years of experience in the field of overseeing Admin and HR functions.
- Experience in overseeing Legal & IT functions along with Admin and HR functions will add advantage.
- Experience working in the government sector will be preferred.
- Masters in HR/ Public Administration/Law or other relevant professional courses.
- Possess the ability to assess complex issues pragmatically.
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with fast-paced decision-making.
- Showcase the ability to define problems, establish facts, analyse situations and make decisions.
- Strong networking skills with an ability to identify, engage and build sustainably.
- Equipped with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Can perform with the highest level of ethics and integrity.
- Must be permitted to work for the Government of India as per the laws applicable to her/ him.
